Heike Heinzelmann and Ben Williams complete 5k run in Sutton Park

Training has now begun in earnest for the Birmingham half marathon. Three members of the Solihull team will be running to raise money in early October. Heike Heinzelmann and Ben Williams kicked off their training programme with a 5k run in Sutton Park organised by the British Lung Foundation. Completing the course in an unofficial time of 35 minutes, Heike and Ben are confident of improvements in the coming months. Meanwhile Paul “Coach” Snell ran the same distance the weekend before in a separate event and posted an impressive time of 22 minutes 31 seconds.
Rumours are currently circulating in the office that Lauren White is planning to join the team and has indicated that she will be taking part in future runs.
The team are planning further benchmark events throughout the summer in the build-up to the main event, whilst also running together once a week after work. Anybody of the other offices contemplating to join us on the big one is more than welcome, please get in touch.
