Stephen George & Partners listed in Sunday Times 'Best Companies to Work For'

In their first year of participation, Stephen George & Partners was placed 95th on the prestigious Sunday Times ‘Best Companies to Work For’ 2008.
Competing against 512 other SMEs (total up 165 versus last year) in the UK, Stephen George & Partners are the only Leicester/East Midlands company on the list, and one of only four other Architectural practices to be included - Assael Architecture [22], HLM Architects [62] and BPTW Architecture [98] – placing them in an impressive line up.
David Taylor, Senior Partner said “We are delighted to be included on the Best Companies list. During the last few years we have made a tremendous investment in our people, providing them with opportunities to develop personally and participate in memorable experiences, while also improving the overall working environment”.
Within the Best Companies survey, this was vindicated with 75% of staff communicating that the training offered was excellent, 71% agreeing that the practice was interested in their wellbeing and 80% believing that profit is not the only thing driving the practice.
In 2008, the practice will be embarking on another charitable initiative by sending a number of staff to Africa to build homes for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, in partnership with Habit for Humanity.
Stephen George & Partners is responsible for a diverse portfolio of work demonstrating success within both the private and public sectors, with particular expertise in master planning, urban regeneration, commercial, retail, leisure and residential development. They have offices in Leicester, Nottingham, Solihull and Leicester and employ 130 people.
