The dirty, foul smelling and often unsafe conditions affect people’s health and wellbeing, their children’s education and their employment prospects. But most of all, poverty housing traps people in a vicious cycle of poverty that robs them of hope and opportunity. It oppresses the soul and keeps the poorest people poor.
We are aiming to raise £100,000 a year (£300,000 in total) over the next three years through corporate sponsorship and staff initiatives.
Teams and individuals at Stephen George & Partners have enthusiastically embarked on a sponsorship programme to help bring about change for the people who need it the most. We will be sending two teams of around ten staff volunteers to Africa each year to help with the build. The staff are passionate about getting their hands dirty and are committed to the cause to help the African people where it really matters.
There will also be up to five additional spaces in each team for our corporate sponsors who wish to participate.
